CRITTERS (1986)

Certification15 Our Rating

A massive ball of furry creatures from another world eat their way through a small mid-western town followed by intergalactic bounty hunters opposed only by militant townspeople. Displaying a deft talent at balancing thrills with tongue-in-cheek wit, this was Stephen Herek's debut film. He followed it up with the bodacious 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' and 'Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead'. A superior creature feature, that may have you tucking your feet onto the sofa out of harms way. find out more...

A strange, beautiful film. We watch mother and son as they go about their peculiar daily routine, and we see a dead child in the ocean. It's unnerving and, somehow, everything seems eerily sexual, too. Then we are invited to go underwater where we get a closer look at the strange story science and earth have to tell. SLITHER (2006)

A slimy businessman turns into a gross food-binging fat piece of mutant tentacled squid when he is infested with a sluglike creature that fell from outer space. This is an hilarious bit of fun, a great tribute to 50s sci fi movies, Cronenberg's Shivers, 80s gross-out movies and zombie flicks generally. Watch and enjoy. find out more...

The neatly worked scenario pits a disparate group of Herrington High students against teachers who've been transformed by an alien parasite into smily, emotionless drones. Forced to work together, the kids put aside t find out more...
TREMORS (1989)

In an isolated spot in the Nevada desert people and cars start getting sucked down into the ground with little bits being regurgitated, so what's going on? It seems like mutant man-eating worms are on the loose. Vastly superior to the fifties B-movies of the same genre, highlights include a survivalist couple determined to put their cache of heavy weaponry to some use, and the visceral special effects......you can almost smell the decaying flesh! find out more...
